Woven Papers

Originally made from scraps of paper found around our studio, this collection repurposes leftover materials into intricate works of paper. The strips of handmade paper are woven together, forming a checkerboard pattern as they overlap and intertwine. With a natural tone and varied texture, the different handmade papers are sourced from Bhutan and Nepal and are layered together in varying patterns for visual intrigue. These artworks are an ode to paper, appreciating the physicality of the medium and its ability, as a two dimensional medium, to become three dimensional. Offered in both our maple and walnut shadowbox frames, make a frame selection to choose which best suits your space.
