Lulu and Georgia Capsule Sale
We are excited to announce the launch of the Visual Contrast Capsule Sale with Lulu and Georgia!
Over the past couple of months we have worked closely with the Lulu and Georgia team to create a series of one of a kind abstract paintings inspired their new colour story this spring; new neutrals. From the conception to the creation of the pieces, our team collaborated on each step of the process to produce fifty original paintings.
Utilising the unique skillsets of our artists, we created a variety of artworks for the collection using silkscreening, dyeing, and traditional painting techniques. Inspired by the earthy tones of nature, we produced custom ink colours in-house and even sourced raw fabric from the fashion district in DTLA to stretch our own canvases to fit our vision for the project. Each colour combination was thoughtfully discussed and paired with a Belgian linen or natural canvas backdrop. We embraced the different shapes and patterns that occurred during the process of silkscreening, emphasising the organic and handmade feel of the paintings. Pouring, blending, painting, and dropping ink were just some of the ways in which we dyed our fabrics to layer colour and create depth.
Our goal was to make each painting unique and timeless, to create a collection that felt handmade and collectible. With their neutral colours and the tactile nature of the textiles, the paintings are perfect for adding soft pops of colour into the home and layering texture. This series is adaptable to any space; the paintings can be hung alone, in pairs, or even in a gallery wall with varied sizes for a dynamic composition.
Each piece is floated in a handmade maple frame for a clean and elevated finish.
