Employing interesting patterns, provocative line work, and stimulating color combinations, Ben creates unique and thoughtful artwork in a variety of different mediums. With a focus on dimension and texture, he creates depth in his compositions through innovative techniques. Exploring a variety of printmaking methods such as silkscreening, linocut printing, embossing, and relief printing, Ben has mastered numerous ways of printing and often uses a combination of techniques to create his art.
Using abstract shapes and flowing forms, Ben creates lively scenes where the viewer can see the world through his unique perspective.

If you had the chance to live during a different artistic movement other than now, which one would you choose?
I would choose to live during the Renaissance or High Renaissance.
If you could interview a creative person (past or present), who would that person be?
I would interview Albrecht Dürer, a 15th century painter and printmaker
What inspires you?
Nature, cityscapes, and the human form inspire me most.
If you could choose a theme song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Please explain your choice.
I would live in San Francisco- it’s my birth place and it’s a beautiful city.
Why are you an artist?
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawing. Creating brings me peace
If you could change one aspect of our society through your work, what would it be?
I would get rid of all the hate
What do you wish to accomplish with your art?
I wish to continue to make a living off creativity and inspire others to do the same.
If you only had 24 hours to live, how would you spend your day?
I would have a great meal in the park with friends and family and then draw into the night.
What do you focus on when you create?
Color, shapes, contours, line, texture... nothing.
Do you do anything special to get your "creative juices" flowing?
I listen to music, KALX Berkeley, and smoke nature’s miracle.
If you had the opportunity, what creative person (living or dead) would you like to work with? Why?
I would love to work with Jean Michel Basquiat.
